Following the Government’s decision to implement widespread school closures across the UK, Carol Vorderman’s ‘The Maths Factor’ is offering free access for everyone (it usually costs about £2 per week) for the duration of the UK schools closure.
The Maths Factor is an online maths tutoring site for 4 – 11 year olds, ordered to follow the national curriculum in England, but still useful to any anyone from the wider world.
The Maths Factor recommends daily sessions while aiming to keep it fun. They also offer offline content that can be printed out a completed in a more traditional way without having to resort to a tablet / laptop etc if you’re looking to reduce digital time. Ultimately it is about building confidence in maths.
There is parent support as well, both in terms of monitoring your childs progress but also in learning how best to support your child if maths is not your strong point.
